Leaf Pick-Up Program

The 2025 Leaf Pick-Up Program Will begin on Monday, October 20th and go through Wednesday, November 26th.

General Information

  • Pick up will be done city wide. We will have several crews throughout town picking up leaves each week.
  • We can’t predict when they’ll be on your street. So please rake early and often and consider using Waste Management's services.
  • The City cannot guarantee that leaves placed near the end of the program will be picked up, especially if winter weather starts early.
  • To ensure pick-up, rake leaves to the back edge of the curb within reach of our equipment. Do not rake leaves into the street, which can cause traffic hazards and flooding.
  • Leaves should be in loose rows or piles. Do not include branches, grass clippings, animal waste, or other debris, as these will not be picked up.
  • Vehicles blocking leaf piles will prevent pick-up.
  • Avoid raking near catch basins, culverts, or ditches to prevent flooding during heavy rain.

Waste Management will collect yard waste through November. Leaves must be in biodegradable Kraft paper bags or designated containers marked “landscape waste only.” Bags must weigh under 50 pounds and will be collected on your regular collection day.

For a short time beginning December 1st, bagged leaves (in Kraft paper bags only) can be dropped off to the Public Works facility at 475 North Cross.
