CodeRED SIGN-UP — The City of Sycamore is licensed with the CodeRED Community Notification System and CodeRED Weather Warning service to help disseminate important or critical information as well as alert citizens to severe weather.

The City encourages its residents and local businesses to sign up for this free notification tool. To do so, please click here or text sycamore to 99411 from your mobile phone. You will be prompted to to enter your contact information and choose your notification settings.

COOLING CENTERS — With an Excessive Heat Warning issued for our area until Wednesday night, we’d like to remind everyone that the City has two designated cooling centers. Residents and visitors can seek temporary respite from the heat at the following locations:

❄️ Sycamore Police Department (535 DeKalb Avenue, 24/7)

❄️ The Sycamore Center (308 W State Street, M-F 8:30am-5pm)

We encourage everyone in the community to check on elderly neighbors and family during times of extreme heat.
