Welcome to the official website for the City of Sycamore.  This promises to be an exciting summer. 

A number of projects will be under construction this summer including an addition to the Police Station, the realignment of Lindgren Road, completion and painting of the City's second water tower, phase I of the Treatment Plant expansion and the City's annual Street Maintenance program. 

Several new businesses plan to bring their operations to Sycamore.  Construction has started for Smart Motion Robotics in the Sycamore Prairie Business Park and a Hyvee Grocery Store will anchor a renovated site at DeKalb Avenue and Oakland Drive.

In addition, many events and activities will take place this summer.  Among the annual events this summer are Discover Sycamore's Farmers Market on Sundays at the corner of Somonauk and Elm Street and the Turning Back Time Car Show held downtown on July 24th-25th.  The DeKalb County Liners, a collegiate summer baseball team and member of the Prospect League, have opened their inaugural season at the Founder's Field in Sycamore.
